Sage - Tolstoy A.N. Wise old man and stupid tsar Russian fairy tale about wise men and fools

There was one person. He grew old, wanted to return to his homeland and spend the rest of his days there. He came to the padisha-hu for permission. The padishah says to him:
- The road is open in front of you, you are free, go. But I do not allow you to take property with me, because you acquired it here, and you will leave everything here.
And the old man was rich, he thought: "If I return to my homeland empty-handed, I will have to live in poverty."
Once he was sitting on a stone, he kept thinking what to do. A boy of about twelve saw him and asked:
- Apo, what kind of sadness do you have? Tell me, can I help?
- Eh, son, go away, do not bother my soul, my grief and so it tends me to the ground.
“But tell me what happened to you.
- Sypok, my youth was spent in this country, here I worked and earned my living. Now, in my old age, I want to return to my homeland. The padishah allowed me to leave, but the property does not allow me to take it with me. But I cannot return to beggars. So I don’t know what to do now.
- That's all? the boy asked.
- Eh, isn't that enough?
- Apo, don't worry, you'll leave. Return to the padishah and again ask permission to leave, and when he allows you to leave and expresses his condition, you tell him: "Padishah, give me back what I brought with me - my youth, and let the property remain." Just don't tell him right away who gave you such advice. If he really insists, then tell him about me, I will come and answer.
An old man came to the padishah and asked permission to return to his homeland.
Padishah replied:
- After all, I already told you: the road is open in front of you, but only I will not allow you to take anything.
- Padishah, may God prolong your life, I don't need anything, just give me back what I brought with me - my youth.
- Who gave you such advice, speak, - demanded the padishah.
- Nobody, padishah, I'm talking about it.
- No, these are not your words. Why didn't you say them before?
And the old man had to tell about everything. He ordered the padishah to bring the boy. He decided to test the advisor. The boy came and saw: a large trough full of water was placed at the threshold. He understood that the padishah wanted to say by this: they say, I am strong like the sea, and you will drown in it. The boy took the boom-gu, made a boat and launched it on the water. By this he wanted to say. that, they say, I will swim across this sea.
The padishah saw the boy, twirled his mustache and touched his crown. By this he wanted to say: "I will destroy you." The boy tapped his forehead with his fingers and gave it to him to understand that God had given him his mind.
The padishah was convinced that the boy was indeed smart, resourceful and quick-witted, and ordered his vizier to fill his handkerchief with gold and let him go. And the vizier whispers in the padishah's ear:
- About padishah, are you not afraid that this boy, when the time comes, will throw you off the throne?
- No, vizier, I cannot ruin such an intelligent child, - answered the padishah.
While the boy was walking home, the padishah's servants grabbed his father and brought him to the palace.
The boy came home and saw that there was no father.
- Mother, where is the father?
- Son, your father was taken away by the padishah's servants. The boy returned to the palace, put a handkerchief with gold at the feet of the padishah and said:
- Padishah, you gave me gold, I thought it was a gift, but it turns out that you decided to pay for my father's blood. Padishah pointed to his father and asked:
- Is this donkey your father? - The boy's father was illiterate.
- Be in health, padishah, my father was not an ass, my grandfather was a donkey. If grandfather was not a donkey, he would have given his father an education. My father is a real man. See, he gave me the opportunity to learn, and I was able to answer any of your questions.
The padishah could not find what to say, and let the father and son go home.

And we all love allegorical fairy tales called parables - they both teach and entertain. They are full of wisdom and inspiration. And these things, as we know, are never too many

The parable of two snowflakes

It was snowing. It was quiet and calm, and fluffy snowflakes slowly circled in a bizarre dance, slowly approaching the ground. Two small snowflakes flying alongside struck up a conversation. So that they would not be carried away from each other, they held hands and one snowflake said cheerfully:
- What an incredible feeling of flying!
- We do not fly, we just fall, - the second answered sadly.
- Soon we will meet the earth and turn into a white fluffy blanket!
- No, we are flying towards death, and on the ground we will simply be trampled.
- We will become streams and rush to the sea. We will live forever! - said the first.
“No, we will melt and disappear forever,” the second objected to her.
Finally they got tired of arguing. They unclenched their hands, and each flew towards the fate of her own choosing.
The parable of the tree
One tree suffered greatly because it was small, crooked, and ugly. All the other trees in the neighborhood were much taller and more beautiful. The tree really wanted to become like them, so that its branches flutter beautifully in the wind.
But the tree grew on the side of the rock. Its roots clung to a small piece of soil that had accumulated in the crevice between the stones. An icy wind rustled in its branches. The sun illuminated it only in the morning, and in the afternoon it hid behind a rock, giving its light to other trees growing down the slope. The tree simply could not grow larger, and it cursed its unfortunate fate.
But one morning, when the first rays of the sun illuminated it, it looked at the valley below and realized that life was not so bad. There was a magnificent view before him. None of the trees below could see even a tenth of this wonderful panorama.
A rock ledge protected it from snow and ice. Without its crooked trunk, knotty and strong branches, the tree simply could not survive in this place. It had its own unique style and took its place. It was unique.
The parable of why someone else's wife is sweeter
In ancient times, the Lord blinded ten Adams. One of them plowed the land, another grazed sheep, the third fished ... After a while they came to their Father with a request:
- Everything is there, but something is missing. We are bored.
The Lord gave them dough and said:
- Let everyone blind at their own discretion a woman who likes what: plump, thin, tall, small ... And I will breathe life into them.
After that, the Lord brought sugar on a platter and said:
- Here are ten pieces. Let each take one and give it to his wife, so that life with her is sweet.
They did just that.
The Lord frowned.
“There is a rogue among you, for there were eleven lumps of sugar on the platter. Who took two pieces?
All were silent.
The Lord took their wives from them, mixed them up, and then distributed them to whom they got.
Since then, nine out of ten men think that someone else's wife is sweeter ... Because she ate an extra lump of sugar.
And only one of the Adams knows that all women are the same, because he himself ate the extra piece of sugar.

The parable of the real price
A merchant bought a large diamond in Africa, the size of a pigeon's egg. It had one drawback - there was a small crack inside. The merchant turned to the jeweler for advice and he said:
- This stone can be split into two pieces, from which two magnificent diamonds are obtained, each of which will be many times more expensive than a diamond. But a careless blow can break this miracle of nature into a handful of tiny pebbles that will cost a penny. I do not dare to risk it. Others responded in the same way. But one day he was advised to turn to an old jeweler from London, a master with golden hands. He examined the stone and again spoke about the risks. The merchant said that he already knew this story by heart. Then the jeweler agreed to help, calling a good price for the work. When the merchant agreed, the jeweler summoned his young apprentice. He took the stone in his palm and once hit the diamond with a hammer, breaking it into two equal parts. The merchant asked admiringly:
- How long has he been working for you?
- Only the third day. He does not know the real value of this stone, and therefore his hand was firm.
The parable of happiness
Happiness was walking through the forest, enjoying nature, when suddenly it fell into a hole. Sits and cries. A man was walking by, Happiness heard a man and shouts from the pit:

- I want a big and beautiful house with a sea view, the most expensive.
Happiness gave the man a beautiful house by the sea, he was delighted, ran away and forgot about Happiness. Happiness sits in the pit and cries even louder. The second person was walking by, he heard the happiness of the person and shouted to him:
- Good man! Get me out of here.
- And what will you give me for this? The man asks.
- And what do you want? - Happiness asked.
- I want a lot of beautiful and expensive cars, various brands.
Happiness gave a person what he asked for, the person was glad, forgot about Happiness and ran away. Happiness has completely lost hope. Suddenly he hears a third person walking, Happiness shouted to him:
- Good man! Get me out of here.
The man pulled Happiness out of the pit and moved on. Happiness was delighted, ran after him and asked:
- Person! What do you want for helping me?
“I don’t need anything,” the man replied.
And so Happiness ran after the man, never lagging behind him.
Parable about the world view
A small crooked tree grew by the road. One night a thief ran by. He saw a silhouette from afar and, with fear, thought that a policeman was standing by the road, so he ran away in fright. One evening a young man in love passed by. He saw a slender silhouette from afar and decided that his beloved was already waiting for him. He was delighted and walked faster. Once a mother with a child passed by a tree. The kid, frightened by scary tales, thought that a ghost was peeping by the road and burst into tears. But ... a tree has always been just a tree. The world around us is just a reflection of ourselves.
Parable about where happiness is hidden
The wise old cat lay on the grass and basked in the sun. Then a nimble little kitten rushed past her. He tumbled past the cat, then briskly jumped up and again began to run in circles.
- What are you doing? The cat asked lazily.
- I'm trying to catch my tail! - the kitten answered breathlessly.
- But why? - the cat laughed.
- I was told that the tail is my happiness. If I catch my tail, I will catch my happiness. So I have been running after my tail for the third day. But he eludes me all the time.
The old cat smiled the way only old cats can do it and said:
- When I was young, they also told me that my happiness was in my tail. For many days I ran after my tail and tried to grab it. I did not eat, did not drink, but only ran after the tail. I fell exhausted, got up and again tried to catch my tail. At some point, I despaired. And she just went where my eyes were looking. And do you know what I suddenly noticed?
- What? The kitten asked in surprise.
- I noticed that wherever I go, my tail everywhere follows me. You don't have to run for happiness. You must choose your own path, and happiness will go with you.

  • In this work, I tried to reflect on where we children draw wisdom from. Thanks to this, we learn to distinguish between good and evil, truth and falsehood. The answer is simple - these are Russian folk tales.

A fairy tale is a source of wisdom!

What is wisdom? I believe that wisdom is a folk experience collected by many generations. Even in antiquity, when there was no writing, fairy tales appeared. And we still say that folk wisdom is contained in fairy tales: ideas about good and evil, about honor and dishonor, about greed and simplicity - that is, ideas about those human qualities that are in each of us. It is no coincidence that each fairy tale ends with the words: "A fairy tale is a lie, but there is a hint in it, a lesson for good fellows."

To which of us in childhood did our parents not read fairy tales ?! Read fairy tales, they taught us wisdom, that is, they passed on their life experience, their wisdom. And, listening to these tales, I understood what a person should be like, how to behave with friends, what lies and truth, kindness of soul, forgiveness, courage are. On the images of the heroines Vasilisa the Wise and Vasilisa the Beautiful, I learned to be feminine, simple and honest, kind, learned to love people. I believe that these heroines are the prototype of Russian women. Quiet, modest, calm, they have always been an ideal for us, remained faithful to their loved ones, to their homeland. Let us recall the fairy tales "The Scarlet Flower", "Finist - Clear Falcon", "The Frog Princess". Despite the fact that these are fairy tales and there is a lot of fiction in them, I believe that everything that happens now in real life very often looks like a fairy tale.

There are other fairy tales - animal tales. They teach us how to behave around people. A person should not be greedy, cunning, evil, cowardly and cruel. That is why each animal in these tales is endowed with its own character. The hare is an eternal coward, the fox is cunning and arrogant, the Wolf is cruel and cunning, and the bear is strong and rude. And even in these tales, goodness, friendship and mutual assistance always win. Let us recall the fairy tales "Teremok", "Golden Cockerel". What helped these heroes survive? Love for each other and mutual assistance. In fairy tales, they always glorify kindness and wisdom, therefore fairy tales educate, make people better.

I would also like to tell you about everyday fairy tales. I like the fairy tale "The Wise Virgin". Remember how the girl got out of all the predicaments and how she completed all the tasks with dignity. The king says: "When your daughter is wise, let her come to me the next morning - neither on foot, nor on a horse, nor naked, nor dressed, nor with a present, nor without a present." The seven-year-old girl was resourceful. She threw off all her clothes, put on a net, took a quail in her hands, sat astride a hare and drove to the palace. This tale teaches that before you do something, you need to think it over well.

Our poets and writers liked folk tales so much that they even became their first teachers. "What a beauty these tales are - each is a poem!" - exclaimed A.S. Pushkin. He not only grew up on Russian folk tales told by Arina Rodionovna, but he himself wrote magnificent

fairy tales. Do not the "Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Heroes", "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel" and others carry wisdom within themselves?

Fairy tales were also written by M.Yu. Lermontov, Yu.K. Olesha, K.G. Paustovsky, K.I. Chukovsky, S. Ya. Marshak. I like The Tale of Lost Time by E.L. Schwartz. This is really a fairy tale not only for children, but for adults. How much time we are wasting! This time is running at lightning speed, and we waste ourselves on all sorts of nonsense, forgetting about the main thing. And what is the main thing? The main thing is to be able to do good deeds. This is exactly what the girl Zhenya from the fairy tale "Flower-Seven-Flower" by V.P. Kataeva. She spent her last petal to save the sick boy. She wanted him to run, play and enjoy life, like herself.

A person's upbringing begins from the first days of life. Unfortunately, young children cannot understand adult books, so they draw all their wisdom from fairy tales, from good Russian fairy tales!

The tale of the rooster, who continued to talk about the weather even at the hour of his death ...

    Sage read

Chickens walk on the green grass-ant, a white rooster stands on the wheel and thinks whether it will rain or not? He bowed his head, looked at the cloud with one eye and thought again.

A pig scratches itself on the fence.

    - God knows, - the pig grumbles, - today the watermelon peels were given back to the cow.

    - We are always happy! The chickens said in unison.

    - Fools! - the pig grunted. - Today I heard how the hostess swore to feed the guests with chicken.

    - How, how, how, how, what is it? - chickens mumbled.

    - They will turn their heads off to you - that's 'how, what is it,' grumbled the pig and lay down in a puddle.

A rooster looked thoughtfully from above and said:

    - Chickens, do not be afraid, you will not escape fate. And I think it will rain. How are you, pig?

    - I don't care.

“My God,” the chickens began to speak, “you, rooster, indulge in idle conversations, and meanwhile they can cook soup out of us.

The cock amused, he flapped his wings and crowed.

    - Me, a rooster, into the soup - never!

The chickens were worried. At this time, the hostess came out to the threshold of the hut with a huge knife and said:

    - It's old anyway, and we'll cook it.

And she went to the cock.

The rooster glanced at her, but proudly continued to stand on the wheel. But the hostess approached and held out her hand. Then he felt itching in his legs and ran very fast: the further, the faster.

The chickens scattered, and the pig pretended to be asleep.

    - Will it rain or not? - thought the rooster, when he, caught, was carried to the threshold to chop off his head.

And, as he lived, he died - a sage.
