The history of the development of the fine arts of the Orenburg region has more than one decade. In Russian art of the late XIX - early XX centuries, the work of Lukian Vasilyevich Popov, an academician of painting, late Itinerant, artist, whose life was inextricably linked with the Orenburg region, became a significant phenomenon. The creative heritage of L. V. Popov became the basis for the creation of the Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts. Artists A. Chernyshev and P. Shmelkov were born in Orenburg, whose names have become part of the history of Russian art.

In 1918 S. Karpov came to his hometown. He promoted the creation in Orenburg of the organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR, and in 1926 - the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia.

The artistic life of the Orenburg region in the 1920s was eventful. It was at this time that a student of K. Malevich, the author of the project of the suprematist painting of the Orenburg Theater of the Red Army I. Kudryashov, came here.

The Orenburg region of the 1920s and 1930s appears before us in the graphic series of the talented draftsman S. Kalmykov.

In 1935, the graphic artist ND Prokhorov returned to Orenburg. The original graphic feeling of this artist gives the right to put his work on a par with the best draftsmen and graphic artists of the 20-30s.

Many Orenburg artists of the 30-50s contributed to the formation and development of painting in the region. Artists N.M. Ledyaev, A.F. Stepanov combined pre-revolutionary history with the Soviet period. For several decades, landscape has remained the main genre in the collective of Orenburg artists. It is in this genre that the creative successes of the painters F. Kozelkov, A. Lyashchenko, Sh. Mukhamedzyanov, A. Ovchinnikov are most noticeable.

A new round in the visual arts of the Orenburg region took place in the 60s, when N. Eryshev, Y. Grigoriev, G. Glakhteev, V. Ni, V. Prosvirin, R. Yablokov came. It was these artists who gave a powerful impetus to the creative life of the city. For several decades a unique Union of Artists has been formed in Orenburg.

The "patriarch" of Orenburg art, People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Eryshev in his canvases, as it were, verifies the harmony of the world with algebra. The universe, understood by him as the work of hands, as the creation of a master, unfolds in his works, verified and accurate, like a hymn to labor, creativity, spiritual strength.

Vyacheslav Prosvirin is an artist for whom there is no concept of "the flour of creativity", but there is the joy of creativity, and for him this is the most important thing in art. The eyes of the artist, captivated by female beauty, his brush stop for us on the canvas amazing moments, full of admiration for life.

Yuri Grigoriev acts as a charmer of natural elements, an attentive observer in his landscape paintings. In the tension of natural forces, we recognize the passions and drama of our time.
A powerful influence on all the work of Yuri Rysukhin had a mastery of the complex, but surprisingly sonorous and vivid technique of temperamental painting on gesso ground.

Each work of Gennady Glakhteev, the leader and founder of the Sadki Academy, is a small universe. The model of the world is created in his works at the intersection of several spaces that flow into one another.

"Sadki Academy" is the only association of artists formed in the Orenburg region, which arose in the early 70s. Artists who traveled for several years on the coast of the Sea of \u200b\u200bAzov to the village of Sadki, comprehended the mysteries of nature, painted nudity on a plein air, argued about the work of the greats. The composition of the travel participants was always updated, but the main "backbone" remained unchanged - G. Glakhteev and I. Makarova, V. Gazukin, A. Vlasenko and V. Eremenko, G. Rezanova and A. Khanin. Young members of the association M. Busalaeva and I. Smekalov continued the traditions of the Sadki Academy.

The work of A. Eskin, M. Borisova, A. Romanyuk, O. Kosheleva, V. Monakhov, S. Fazutov presents today one of the most interesting pages in the development of Orenburg painting, as well as the creative quest of young artists J. Cheskidova, V. Bartnev, E. Gafiyatullina.

Of the sculptors working in Orenburg, there are three members of the Union of Artists: N. Ishmukhametov, P. Surnachev, People's Artist of Russia N. Petina.

The monumental paintings and mosaics of the city's public buildings were made by the artists R. Asaev, Y. Gilev, A. Maslovsky.

Of no less interest is the work of Orenburg graphic artists: watercolors and pencil drawings by V. Bobrov, engravings by A. Presnov and Y. Krikunov, etchings by O. Okuneva.

A. Vasilchenko opened a new page in the development of decorative and applied art, taking the knitting technique of the Orenburg "cobwebs" as a basis for her decorative panels.

Silk painting technique, unconventional for Orenburg, was embodied in the works of Irina and Maria Eskin, Svetlana and Anatoly Shleyuk.

The Union of Orenburg Artists lives and works creatively with full dedication. Exhibitions of our artists are held not only in Orenburg, but also far beyond its borders.

Orenburg painters, graphic artists, sculptors, artists of monumental and decorative-applied art are distinguished by high professionalism, deep knowledge of art history, philosophical depth of creative searches. They are the ones who create their own artistic system in the Orenburg region, being often theorists of their own work. Each of the artists has a bright individuality, has his own characteristic style, easily recognizable and different from others, his own creative "I".

Such famous painters as F.A.Malyavin (1869 - 1940), A.F. Chernyshev, P.M.Shmelkov were born in the Orenburg region. In 1926 a branch of the AHRR (Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia) was organized in the city. In 1946, the cooperative partnership "Artist" was created. The post-war years were difficult, there were no workshops, and we had to carry out random orders. There were almost no connections with the capital organizations, but the creative life did not stop.

The next stage was the creation in 1954 of the Orenburg branch of the Union of Soviet Artists. The Orenburg painter A.F. Stepanov (1893 - 1965) was an active participant in the creation of the art organization. A talented and original artist, he devoted a lot of time to the formation and improvement of the skills of local painters.

"Orenburg art school" - this term appeared in art criticism in the second half of the XX century. The richness of the city's artistic life, a busy schedule of exhibitions, openness of creative communication attract artists from other cities and regions to Orenburg. L. Popov

The recent history of the artistic life of the Orenburg region can be divided into three stages. The end of the 40s and the beginning of the 60s is the period of the post-war formation and development of the local school of painting. At this time, local artists of the older generation, who are distinguished by love for their native land, dedication and respect for the best traditions of Russian art, are working hard to create a team. Painters A.I. Ovchinnikov (1929), Sh. G. Mukhametzyanov (1930), N.V. Bolodurin, who were born and raised in the countryside, who to this day glorify the beauty of their native land and ordinary workers.

The middle of the 60s and the beginning of the 80s, a period associated with the arrival in the 60s of a group of young artists graduates of the Moscow Institute. VI Surikov, who did not immediately, but managed to assess the originality and maintain a high level of skill, the established team. They gave a powerful impetus to the development of the Orenburg art life, became the most active part of the organization. Exhibition activity sharply revived, the culture of painting began to rise. The main thing at this time was the creation of plot-themed pictures. In 1975, the Orenburg Regional Art School was opened in the city.

Of great importance at this time was the creative activity of such artists as People's Artist of Russia N.P. Eryshev, V.F. Prosvirin, R.A.Yablokov, G.A.Glakhteev, Yu.P. Grigoriev, V.T. Ni. Later they were joined by Yu. A. Rysukhin, R. Ya. Asaev, Yu. Ya. Gilev, AV Maslovsky. R. A. Yablokov N. P. Eryshev "At the holiday of the Russian winter", 1986

The third period, from the mid-80s to the present, is associated with the formation and training of a large group of local artists under the influence of those who came in the 60s-70s. They creatively develop and enrich the artistic life of Orenburg with new ideas. These are established masters with extensive experience in exhibition activities V. Gazukin, L. Pronchenko, S. Bochkarev, R. Yusufbaev, A. Khanin, E. Erokhin. The younger ones, whose creativity develops more dynamically, they are recognizable and in demand, among them V. Eryshev, R. Ovchinnikov, I. Smekalov, A. Slepchenko, A. Kurilov, Ya. Cheskidova, M. Borisova. The following, are at the beginning of a promising path, but already have experience of foreign exhibitions A. Olikov, S. Chunikhina, I. Gafiyatullin, V. Bartenev, A. Kiselev.

Currently, there are about 80 members of the Union of Artists of Russia in Orenburg. Another interest in the Orenburg artists arose after three years (1991-1993) experts from France who came to the city selected works for exhibitions. During this period, more than 1000 works were exported to Paris alone, which were then sold at auctions at the Hotel-Drouot and had secondary sales.

Information about the artists of the Orenburg region appears since the nineteenth century. The most significant phenomenon is the work of Lucian Popov, an academician of painting, itinerant, his life is inextricably linked with the Orenburg region, the collection of his works occupies a leading place in the Regional Museum of Fine Arts. Orenburg residents were the artists Alexei Chernyshev (in 2008 the Fine Arts Museum acquired his work), P. Shmelkov, Philip Malyavin, their names are strongly associated with the fine arts of Russia. Until now, interest in the work of Sergei Kalmykov, Sergei Sharshun (a native of Buguruslan), a prominent artist of the Russian diaspora, does not dry up. Various communities and collectives of Orenburg artists are known - the Union of Artists and Painters, the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia, the creation of which was facilitated by the artists S. M. Karpov and S. V. Ryangina.

The artistic life of Orenburg in the 1920s was no less turbulent and eventful than in the capitals. We had a student of Kazimir Malevich I. Kudryashov, the author of the project of the suprematist painting of the Orenburg Theater of the Red Army. In the 1930s, the cooperative partnership "Artist" was created, and in 1940 - the organizing committee of the Union of Artists, whose work was interrupted by the war. Only on May 17, 1954 the Orenburg branch of the Union of Soviet Artists was created. It exists to this day, the name has changed slightly, but the structure is the same. In 2009, the organization celebrated its 55th anniversary.

S. A. Varlamov was elected the first chairman of the department; he is the author of the first systematized publications about Orenburg artists. For 55 years, many leaders have changed and each of them has left its mark - N.P. Eryshev, Yu. A. Rysukhin, A.F. Presnov, V.M. Eremenko and others. Now the Union of Orenburg Artists is headed by A.G. Shleyuk. As of January 2009, 76 artists were registered in the Orenburg organization of the All-Russian creative public organization "Union of Artists of Russia".

"Orenburgers" were graduates of Penza, Krasnodar, Kazan, Yaroslavl art schools, Kharkov Institute of Art and Graphics, Moscow Art Institute. V. Surikov, Leningrad Institute. I. Repin. In Orenburg, they developed monumental art. The painting "Link of Times" inside the building of the Gazovik Palace of Culture and Sports was superbly made by the Honored Artist of Russia, laureate of the Orenburg Lira Prize A.V. Maslovsky, the mosaic on the walls of the Gazovik House of Culture and Sports was made by the Honored Artist of Russia R. Ya. Asaev. For the Museum of the History of Orenburg, the interior painting "Orenburg in three centuries" was performed by the laureates of the "Orenburg Lira" award A. A. Vlasenko and V. M. Eremenko, in the central city library named after Nekrasov - stained glass window by Y. Ya. Gilev. Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, the oldest artist of our Union KS Kuzenov executed murals and paintings in the central assembly hall of the fire department, laureate of the "Orenburg Lyre" prize AA Vasilchenko - the author of tapestries that adorn the interior of the MNTK "Eye Microsurgery".

The creative symbiosis of Orenburg and "visiting" artists has created a team of bright, talented personalities, different in vision of the world, temperament, artistic style. Here, brilliant works are born that have become classics of Russian art, inscribed in the history of the culture of the Orenburg region and Russian fine art. There is constant interest in the themes of the historical past, the glorification of native nature, people of the steppe region. A good artistic level of works, constant participation of artists in exhibitions of the country, the acquisition of works of Orenburg artists by domestic and foreign museums and galleries - all this speaks of a rich creative life.

The Orenburg Art School trains remarkable artists. Its graduates confidently declared themselves at exhibitions of various levels - S. Bochkarev, E. Gudkov, A. Miroshnichenko, A. Khanin, I. Sharapov, A. Romanyuk, R. Yusufbaev, E. Erokhin, S. Pavlenko, S. Chunikhina and many others. The creative searches of graduates develop in different ways, but many of them have become distinctive artists, with a recognizable handwriting inherent only to them.

The 60s of the last century were marked, first of all, by the development of virgin lands, which many of the artists captured in their works. The then young NP Eryshev was awarded a silver medal of the Academy of Arts for his work "Bread Field". The work of RA Yablokov "Private virgin lands" was exhibited at the exhibition "Soviet Russia", its reproduction was published by the magazines "Ogonyok" and "Khudozhnik".

Since the 70s, our artists (N.F.Sokolov, A.I. Ovchinnikov, N.N.Rozanov, O.V. Okuneva) have actively mastered the creative dachas of the Union of Artists - "Senezh", "Academic", "Goryachy Klyuch "," Chelyuskinskaya ". In the 70s, under the leadership of G. A. Glakhteev, the first association of artists "Academy of Sadki" appeared, which in 2008 released an album dedicated to this period of creativity. In the 70s, AI Ovchinnikov's still life "Breads" was especially noted at the republican exhibition "Around the Native Country", at the All-Union exhibition "Youth of the Country" the work "Seeing Off" by artist Viktor Ni was noted, a reproduction was placed in the magazine "Artist". One of the most talented Orenburg artists Viktor Ni died early.

Orenburg residents were among the first in Russia in the 90s of the last century to show their creativity abroad. In 1991, 59 Orenburg artists sent 1,383 works to their exhibition in Blagnac in France. The entire amount of the proceeds from the sale of paintings (124,000 francs) was transferred to the purchase of medical equipment for the Orenburg Children's Hospital.

In April 1980, the Central Exhibition Hall was opened. The secretary of the regional party committee V.P. Polyanichko and the chairman of the city executive committee Yu. D. Garankin rendered great help and support at that time. Thanks to the efforts of these devotees of power, artists have workshops and an exhibition hall, without which creative work is unthinkable. Over the past 29 years of work, more than 400 exhibitions have been held in this hall. Every year spring and autumn regional exhibitions of arts and crafts, many personal exhibitions are held. An exhibition of the People's Artist of Russia Ilya Glazunov was held (great help was provided by G.P. Donkovtsev, in those years the mayor of the city), we received artists from Orsk, Buzuluk, Buguruslan, Bashkiria. At a time when they start talking about the inextricable connection between primary, secondary and higher art education, we have this connection for a long time, exhibitions of children's creativity, design studios of the art school are held annually.

We do not forget about the connection with the exhibition halls of the region - exhibitions of our artists are held in many regional houses of culture. In 2005, the Honored Artist of Russia, laureate of the "Orenburg Lira" award A. I. Ovchinnikov prepared and held traveling exhibitions in the Orenburg region. For two months he traveled around the villages, gave master classes to local artists, talked about the work of his and other artists. Regularly organized exhibitions "100 paintings by artists of the Orenburg region" are deservedly famous, which have been held annually for 16 years. The author of the project and curator of the exhibition is Yu. A. Rysukhin, Honored Artist of Russia, twice winner of the "Orenburg Lyre" prize, winner of the "Golden Palette" prize In 1999 this exhibition was shown in Moscow at the Central House of Artists. The album "125 paintings by artists of the Orenburg region" was released.

In 2008, the Orenburg organization won a governor's grant and was able to show the exhibition "125 paintings by artists of the Orenburg region" in Moscow, in the exhibition halls of the Zurab Tsereteli gallery and Nizhny Novgorod. An album-catalog of the exhibition was released. Orenburg artists of different generations are exhibited in the exhibition halls of Orenburg, in other cities of Russia and abroad. The works of our masters are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Museum of the Orient, foreign museums of contemporary art - in India, England, France, the USA, in galleries and museums of large Russian cities.

Wonderful artists S. Alexandrov, F. Kozelkov, V. Ni, V. Frolenko, A. Pavlov, V. Prosvirin, A. Lyashchenko passed away, but left their creative heritage, which is carefully preserved in the Orenburg Museum of Fine Arts as a local and Russian artistic heritage. The Union of Orenburg Artists suffered a great loss with the death in 2004 of N.P. Erishev, People's Artist of Russia, an honorary citizen of the city of Orenburg. He remains the leading master of classical realism. He has written three books, and two of the fictional essays were highly appreciated by experts and readers.

Seven honored artists of Russia work in Orenburg - sculptor N.G. Petina, Yu.P. Grigoriev, A.I. Ovchinnikov, Yu.A. Rysukhin, R. Ya. Asaev, Sh.G. Mukhamedzyanov, A. V. Maslovsky ... Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation N.A.Morozov lives and works in Buzuluk.

Orenburg painters are endowed with high professionalism, bright individuality, uniqueness. The authority and fame of the "Orenburg school" has long stepped over the borders of the Orenburg region. This is evidenced by dozens of exhibitions in Moscow, auctions in Paris, expositions in Germany, Spain, India, Indonesia.

The graphics of the Orenburg region are, first of all, S.V. Bobrov, A.F. Presnov, G.N. Smorodin, one can name painters-painters who have achieved great success in watercolor works - A.A. Vlasenko, V.M. Eremenko, I. V. Grigorieva, N. F. Prosvirin, N. F. Sokolov.

The sculptor N. G. Petina was awarded the Order of Honor and the Order of Friendship, this is the only order bearer among our team. She also has the Pushkin Gold Medal of the Academy of Arts of Russia, and other awards for hard work. Her works are the decoration of our city - the monument "Pushkin and Dal", monument-busts to the governors of Orenburg Perovsky and Neplyuev, Hero of the Soviet Union A.I. Rodimtsev and others.

Decorative and applied arts are adequately represented by A. A. Vasilchenko, A. G. Shleyuk, S. G. Shleyuk, I. V. Eskina, exhibiting their works at the most prestigious exhibitions in Russia, decorating the interiors of public buildings in the city.

Thanks to the support of the Governor, the Ministry of Culture of the Orenburg Region, in 2004, an album about the work of Orenburg artists "Orenburg region - familiar and unfamiliar" was released, in 2008 - the album "Ovchinnikov A. I." other.

In 2008, for the governor's grant, albums were published - "Sadki Academy", "125 paintings by Orenburg artists", a mini-album "I catch your image."

The regional administration, represented by the governor of the region, awarded 19 artists the prize and the title of laureate "Orenburg lyre" for their contribution to the preservation and development of the best traditions of the national art school.

In 2009, Orenburg artists took part in the "Big Volga in Moscow" project. This is an interregional exhibition at the Central House of Artists. From us at the exhibition there were 62 works - painting, graphics, sculpture. A catalog and disk of all the works of the exhibition has been released.

We hope that the region and the city will always need artists, they glorify in their works the beauty and uniqueness of the Orenburg region, its vastness, its people, in order to convey this to future generations.
