Brief Life

Tryphon is especially revered by Russian people. On the icons he is depicted with a falcon. It is believed that he was originally depicted on the coat of arms of the city of Moscow.

The baby was born in the 1st century, in the Phrygian village of Kampsada (the territory of modern Turkey). His childhood passed in a poor Christian family. The boy was accustomed to work from childhood, but never received an education. For his ardent faith, he was granted by Christ the opportunity to heal people and deliver those possessed by demons from the demonic presence in them.

St. Martyr Tryphon

Thanks to the saint’s prayers, crop-eating reptiles and insects were driven out of the fields of his native village, and the villagers, doomed to death from thirst and hunger, were spared the expected terrible fate. But the young man became particularly famous for his exorcism of demons from the heiress of the Roman Emperor Gordian III.

The saint preached Christianity and encouraged many people to accept the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Having learned about this, the authorities threw him into prison, where they demanded that he renounce God and become an idolater. The saint refused to be forced to accept a faith alien to him, for which he was subjected to severe torture. They hung him upside down on a tree, beat him, pierced his body with sharp hooks with metal tips, and burned his skin with flames. But Tryphon bravely endured the torment and did not betray his religion. The enraged torturers decided to execute the man.

The holy martyr begged Christ to take him to the Kingdom of Heaven and the Lord heeded his requests - Tryphon reposed in the Lord even before his execution.

The saint’s tortured body rested in his native village, but after some time his relics were transferred to Rome.

Important! Now the shrine with the relics of the saint rests in the city of Kator in Montenegro.

Holy Martyr Tryphon

On the day when it is customary to celebrate Valentine's Day, February 14, Orthodox believers honor the day of St. Tryphon. A prayer addressed to him when looking for a job will give you strength and self-confidence, protect you from adversity and strengthen your faith. He is considered a miracle worker, a predictor and an intercessor who helps specifically in the professional sphere:

  • find a place for the unemployed;
  • change your workplace to a better one;
  • become financially independent;
  • protect yourself from dismissal;
  • achieve success and career advancement.

A martyr, a Christian, born somewhere in 240 - 250, in the most ordinary Orthodox family, and he himself was a believing child. Already at an early young age, his miraculous abilities began to manifest themselves:

  • According to legend, through fervent prayers he managed to save entire villages from disasters and destruction;
  • People came to him to get rid of various evil spirits and demons;
  • He healed human bodies and souls;
  • He helped even sick people with serious illnesses get out of bed, and healed the insane.

Thus the Saint became famous as a strong and successful healer. And he became a martyr during the reign of the cruel atheist Trajan. But Tryphon’s faith in the Lord was unshakable, and he propagated it to ordinary people. And this did not please the tyrant emperor. He sent everyone who professed the Christian religion to execution, without explanation or questioning. The saint had to endure countless severe tortures: his naked body was hung from trees, beaten and nails driven into it. He suffered painfully and for a long time, but never renounced his faith. The martyr accepted his death with dignity, just as Jesus Christ did in his time.

The great martyr and miracle worker, who worked honestly all his life, helped everyone who was in need and saved them from physical and mental ailments. That is why you should ask for help in your work, career advancement and decent pay for your own work by turning to him. For many, he is a believer and a miracle worker, while at the same time Tryphon was the simplest worker.

He had to work a lot, but he took on even the hardest work, and never complained about life or complained about fatigue. Now, looking at us from heaven, the Patron can help everyone who wants to work honestly:

Prayers to Tryphon to find a job should be read with confidence in your words. Free yourself from unnecessary thoughts and tune in only to addressing the Patron. Human life is fleeting; believers spend most of their time not in church, but at work. It is important to have a regular, stable income so that the family can pay the bills. During the crisis, it has become more difficult to make a living; people worry about the future. Therefore, they often seek help in their work by praying to Saint Tryphon. He is known for his kind, helpful heart.

The story of Saint Tryphon

The saint was born in Asia Minor, around the middle of the 3rd century. His parents raised him in the Christian faith. From a young age, Tryphon showed various gifts of the Holy Spirit:

  • cast out unclean spirits;
  • treated bodily illnesses;
  • once saved a village from an insect invasion that threatened to destroy the harvest.

Rumors about his miraculous power reached the emperor himself, and when an evil spirit possessed his daughter, Gordian called Tryphon so that his prayers would help the girl. But the Holy Spirit did its work even earlier - the demon left the girl three days before the boy appeared in Rome. The young man then made him appear to others to prove the great power of the Lord. Many believed in Christ after this incident.

Emperor Gordian did not persecute Christians, but he was succeeded by Decius, known for his attempts to destroy the new faith, which threatened to become more popular than the pagan one. Tryphon was arrested and subjected to various tortures:

  • hung from a tree and then beaten;
  • tied to a galloping horse;
  • They drove iron pins into my legs and forced me to walk around the city.

No torment forced the saint to renounce Christ. Then it was decided to behead him. The martyr prayed earnestly before his execution, asking God to accept his soul - he died even before they could cut off his head. The martyr is highly revered in Russia and Bulgaria, where their own legends are written about him.

Miracles after death

One of the signs of holiness is if miraculous phenomena continue after the righteous person has departed to the Lord. There is a legend in Russia that prayer to Saint Tryphon helped the royal falconer not to lose his job. The king was very angry that his favorite gyrfalcon flew away. A falconer named Tryphon had to find the loss, but it was not easy. Despair took possession of him; he already wanted to return empty-handed.

But in a dream, a young man with a falcon appeared to the falconer, and when he woke up, the royal servant saw a bird on the nearest tree. Apparently, this legend became the reason that on Orthodox icons the martyr Tryphon is depicted with a gyrfalcon on his arm.

How does prayer to Saint Tryphon for work help?

Many believers were helped by the prayer to the martyr Tryphon. Today, part of his relics is located in the Znamensky Church in Moscow. Church servants witness many miracles.

  • A woman who had a difficult financial situation asked the elder for advice. He told her to pray to the martyr Tryphon. She ordered a prayer service to St. Tryfon to find a good job. Upon returning home, I immediately received an invitation for an interview.
  • One family lost their documents. The solution to many important issues depended on them. We turned to the saint in prayer. The documents were found, and in a place where they could not have been there at all.
  • By praying to Tryphon, the man received an invitation to a new high-paying job on the same day.

You should not think that it is enough to pray and what you want will fall on your head. You cannot sit with your hands folded - a person must go to interviews and ask loved ones for help. Through one of these channels the Lord will send help. In order for good luck to accompany you at work and in other matters, you need to read prayers to the martyr Tryphon. To do this, you need to come to the temple and place a candle in front of the image. You can do this as often as you like until the result is obtained.

Martyr Tryphon was a simple man from the people, tending geese. Perhaps that is why he has become so close to Russians - they turn to him with various requests: for work, searching for missing things, healing, spiritual help. Many people receive a quick response. The main thing is to have firm faith that the Lord will not abandon you. One should not think that only spiritual issues are close to God - He helps in all matters, no matter how “small” they may seem.
