1. Cover

2. Filler

2.1. Primary raw materials

However, the price of such mattresses is significantly higher than mattresses filled with recycled materials.

2.2. Secondary raw material - regenerated fiber (RV)

Well-sewn and pickled mattresses with PB cotton in their properties are in no way inferior to analogues with primary cotton. It all depends on the quality of the regenerated fiber, which in turn depends on the raw material used.

Cotton wool melange PB- it is a regenerated fiber that is obtained by defibrating and special processing of sewing scraps. This material is free of debris or dust and is odorless. The use of PB cotton wool can significantly reduce the cost of finished mattresses while meeting all the requirements of Russian quality standards.

Mattresses with such cotton wool are not subject to high temperatures (autoclaving) and are inexpensive.

3. Weight

According to the standard, the weight of a cotton mattress should not be lower:

70 * 190 - 5 kg

80 * 190 - 6 kg

90 * 190 - 7 kg

120 * 190 - 9 kg

140 * 190 - 11 kg

160 * 190 - 13 kg

4. Pickling(stitching) - the process of bonding the fiber and the cover together.

The uniformity of fixation of the filler and the absence of lumpiness depend on the quantity and distance between the picks.The more picks, the more elastic, elastic and uniform mattress in structure.

The picking is performed so that the cotton wool inside the mattress does not move, but is kept evenly between the peaks.

5. Bead stitching

This is an important element of the mattress. Bead topstitching is necessary to give the correct geometric shape.

To this day, mattresses from RV are in demand. Despite the fact that such mattresses belong to the budget option, they are quite comfortable to sleep on. RV is used as a filler - regenerated fiber, which is much better than synthetic counterparts in modern mattresses.

Preparing cotton wool

The fiber used to fill the mattresses is environmentally friendly 100% cotton wool. Long and short fibers are mixed in equal amounts using a special aeromechanical filling technology, which makes the mattress elastic and lightweight. If short fibers dominate, the mattress will be heavy and fluffy. And most of the long wool fibers will provide lightness, but the mattress will be "thin" and flat.

Cotton wool fibers are processed on a carding machine. This stage of production allows you to improve the air circulation during the use or drying of the mattress in the fresh air. Emulsification process cotton fiber improves the properties of elasticity and elasticity for long-term use of this type of product.

Cover material

Of no less importance is the fabric for sewing covers. The material must be strong and breathable. Therefore, preference is given to natural species that have the necessary properties. Most often it is printed calico, chintz and “striped” teak.

Despite the economy class, mattresses from RV are quite often purchased for the home. In this case, you should pay special attention to the quality of the filler and cover. Depending on the type of filler, the cost of mattresses will not differ significantly. To avoid an allergic reaction, it is better to give preference to only natural materials.

To prevent lumps from forming in the filler during operation, the regenerating fiber must be well mixed and evenly distributed in the cover. If after some time after use it becomes uncomfortable to sleep on the mattress due to the formation of bumps, then it is better to replace such a mattress. At home, with proper care and regular ventilation, these mattresses will last a long time.
