Ivan: I do not agree with this categorically. I believe that there is one good school - this is the Russian ballet school, which is also presented in such neighboring countries as Belarus and Ukraine. There, there are in schools our teachers who were brought up in the traditions of one Russian school. There are no differences between Moscow and St. Petersburg schools, everything worked for a long time, artists learned in Moscow can calmly dance in St. Petersburg, and vice versa. Everyone was mixed.

C if you talk about classic ballet and modern dance, ballet-modern, what is more interesting for you in the future?

Ivan: There are directions that are generally hard to perceive, and there are very interesting directions that we are doing a lot now. I myself put ballets now and I can not say that I put an absolutely classic choreography. I put my choreography.

What is not interesting?

And.: Five months. For the sake of my daughter, I work a lot, a lot touring.

How quickly did you feel that your relationships can end the wedding?

Everything so lightning was twisted that already at the beginning of the season I was actively involved in the work. It was hard, of course. Vanya saw my torment, in the summer he traveled to the theater with me, gave me a class, helped enter the form.

M.: While on maternity leave, I went to performances in which Vanya danced. Spartak, "Ivan Grozny" in the big ... flew with him to Peter, in Novosibirsk, even to Japan. I wanted myself terribly on the stage!

At one time, there was a loud story when Ivan Vasilyev, already being the prime minister of the ballet and possessing in the theater with all possible privileges, suddenly left the big one. You, Vanya, no desire to return back?

I.: I left, but in fact it did not leave anywhere. Because a month after the "care" from the theater again began to cooperate with great, as a guest soloist, and continue to cooperate to this day. I have a lot of interesting projects around the world. At the moment, the situation with the big theater is satisfied with me. I like to come there, dance your favorite ballets, big - my first theater, my home, my beginning, and I feel very comfortable here.

I remember your first play in the biggest in 2006. You danced in the Don Quixote Basil, the main men's party, the most difficult party, designed for a mature dancer, and then you were only seventeen years old! This is a unique case for the Bolshoi Theater, nothing like that was neither before or after.

M.: Vanya itself is a unique case. ( Smiles.) I mean his brilliant career. On stage, he is honest, always laid out on a complete coil - even if there are injuries, never save strength. And in life, he is the same open as on stage.

That's just about strength and energy. One day, a very dramatic episode happened at the creative evening of the ballerina, a very dramatic episode. Also, it was also extremely important for me and it is interesting that in this project we will play lovers together with my beloved wife - the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, Maria Vinogradova. We are infrequently falling luck to work together on the stage, especially in a full-fledged performance. This feature can not be overlooked. We got married quite recently, quite often it is necessary to part because of work. When I saw my wife in a snow-white vest during a rehearsal of one of the scenes of the play, I realized how the right decision we took when they agreed to share participation in the formulation. It was also very pleasant to learn that the director and choreographer of the ballet was invented and created these roles under us with Maria. This is a great honor for any creative personality.
